<p>I know that this is one great “momfest” of a thread . . . just remember two things:</p>
<p>I-day is relatively insignificant in your mid’s life. Just eight months later, I can tell you that it really is not discussed that much. Too much water has passed under the bridge since then.</p>
<p>It is just the BEGINNING! The plebe hasn’t accomplished much on that day. Graduation? That’s a different matter. In addition, consider that some will not make it and then what do you do with the flag, the announcements, the parade, the videotape of the local television interview. It is just the BEGINNING!</p>
<p>Do you really think your son/daughter will pull out his flag ten years from now and say proudly: “This flag flew over the Capitol on the day I was inducted to the Academy” What day do you recall from early schooling? Your first day of first grade or the day you graduate?</p>
<p>Sounds like “Mom’s Gone Wild” to me.</p>
