Mental health professonals - anyone care to diagnose Charlie Sheen?

Funny how our chldhood memories still haunt us. BTW, swimcatsmom, I hope you realize I was talking about Charlie Sheen being obnoxious (in post 199), not your dad!!!

Charlie is a self-medicating bi-polar in a manic state with plenty of cash for an entourage of facilitating suckerfish (CBS, the whores, the public) . If he was just “everyday people”, the crash would have already happened and he would be on the way to diagnosis, medication, and some level of recovery.

As it is, we are just watching an incredibly long trainwreck and, IMHO, as a society, we are complicit.

Jym - I didn’t think you were referring to my Dad. But it certainly applied to him. I have a tendency to assume the obnoxiousness is part of the bipolar (it is called as manic depressive in England, or maybe that is an older term) person’s personality. I am probably basing that my own unpleasant personal experiences, so apologies to any non obnoxious bipolar sufferers out there.

I don’t understand why people bought tickets to it. I’ve heard the ticket brokers and others in NYC snapped them up in hopes of making a quick profit and are now crying they can’t give them away.

My faith in humanity was somewhat restored by the news reports a week or so ago that contrary to what Sheen reported, his “shows” did not sell out shortly after tickets were released – and that, in fact, plenty of tickets are still unsold for the shows.

And my faith in karma was also restored by news reports today of how incredibly awful the “show” was – and that those people who encouraged this man’s on-going psychiatric breakdown by purchasing tickets are not eligible for refunds.

From the CNN article about the show

One person in the CNN article had bought 2 tickets but none of his family or friends would go with him.

Not quite the same realm as Woodstock I wouldn’t think.

Does anyone else find it a little ironic that the show is titled “Torpedo”?

Personally, as a teen I have no right to judge- I don’t think hes on drugs or insane but he has SEVERE brain damage from the years of drug use. You can’t expect someone like him to not have damage.
