MERGED THREAD: Debbie Friedman, UPDATED

The service was beautiful. For those who were at work or otherwise occupied, it’s available now to view, on archive at [Temple Beth Sholom live streaming of Debbie Friedman Funeral](http://tbsoc.com/debbie)

Free to the community thanks to a generous grant from OSRUI

If I got this right: Her sister Cheryl Friedman belongs to a synagogue in Santa Ana, CA where the Rabbi Heidi Cohen’s husband recently began livestreaming services. So the technology was all ready. 7,000+ cyber-attended today.

May Debbie Lynn Friedman’s memory be for a blessing, and her beautiful work continue through us and our children. (“Sing louder!”)

It was a lovely service - both the words and the music. p3t - do you know the name of the song they sang as the casket was carried out?

Thank you SO much for posting that. I only had time to watch a few snippets - but you are right PRJ - song at the end was beautiful.

@Rockvillemom and PRJ:
The final song was one of her most beautiful, and so fitting:

“T’Filat HaDerech” (The Traveler’s Prayer)

May we be blessed as we go on our way,
May we be guided in peace,
May we be blessed with health and joy,
May this be our blessing, amein.

CHORUS:
Amein, amein, may this be our blessing,
Amein (2X)

May we be sheltered by the wings of peace,
May we be kept in safety and in love,
May grace and compassion
Find their way to every soul,
May this be our blessing, amein.
CHORUS (2X)

thanks so much, p3t. it’s been haunting me all day.

received our Rabbi’s weekly email today with a lovely tribute to Debbie. our Friday night services will be dedicated to her in a couple of weeks - I’m so sad that I will be out of town that day :(
