Merit Scholarship Criteria

There may be other ways, but we tested it out on Chapman’s Netprice Calculator. It asks for your gpa and ACT/SAT scores. Results include your specific merit award for those stats. You can run it several times to determine what you’ll earn if you bump your scores up a bit. Chapman is nicely transparent about how they grant merit aid and they seem to follow their guidelines very closely. Our son’s scholarship, when he was accepted in Jan, mirrored it exactly.

Note that the NPC uses unweighted gpa (not weighted) for determining merit. It makes a BIG difference if you have a wide spread between W/UW, so be sure to enter the correct one.

Good luck! :)
