any idea about how they contact internationals ? Or is it safe to assume that internationals are pretty much not considered for these scholarships ?
^ I wanted to know this too. Is there any history of internationals receiving these scholarships? Also @ind1974 have you had your interview?
@u392302 my son had a Skype interview a month back. But no word on the scholarship finalists
Just received the Danforth Finalist call.
25 finalist were chosen out of an applicant pool of 2000.
And I did not have an interview with WashU.

Any one receive word yet regarding academic division scholarships? I see people have gotten calls about the signature scholars programs (Danforth, Rodriguez and Ervine), but haven’t seen anything about the others.
Congrats all - 1% success rate - that’s a tough hurdle. Sounds like it requires a great specialty outlier - landed bottle rocket / other object on a planet - cured a disease - unique demogaphic diversifier - in order to capture the attention of the judges here.
My son can levitate birds, but nobody seems to care. Sad.

I thought the essays I submitted for danforth were trash but I reread them and they were way better than I’d remembered. Then again, writing is one of my stronger points because I want to be a journalist…
