<p>I don’t know about any minimum GPA, but there is a required (brief) form you have to submit in the Spring of each year. We did not know about this (and my son admits it is possible he didn’t pay close enough attention to his emails) and were surprised that his scholarship did not appear on his bill for the Fall quarter this year. When we inquired, we were told that the form had not been submitted. I looked in vain to find notice of this in the online financial materials but did not. So I’m assuming that notice was probably given only through email and only to the students. </p>
<p>As it happens, the form is very simple and is basically only a statement of intent to continue as a student at UChicago. There might have been a $50 penalty for late submission, but other than that there was no problem with submitting it late, and the merit aid was promptly applied to the account after it was submitted.</p>
