I think she should go to Illinois because Michigan seems to be unaffordable. Illinois is a good school.
She is picking 2 majors that require grad school… which in this case appears to mean loans. Why start with such huge loans from Michigan?
I would choose Illinois and do everything to build a resume. This will help for grad school or if she chooses to work for a few years first.
