<p>I think it is the wrong question, frankly. You are not “passing up” Ross or “passing up” Freeman, you are making a positive decision based on what you prefer overall in a school. Both offer very high quality programs in your areas of interest. Finance is a particularly strong area at Tulane, and global business studies certainly already exist, just not in a formalized program. That will soon change, as kreativekat says.</p>
<p>If you think you want a school that is smaller, in a warm weather climate and in a city setting (although the campus itself has an almost suburban feel to it), then pick Tulane. If you like colder weather and big time sports, and don’t mind the huge classes and student body, pick Michigan. Certainly if you just cannot get past the rankings, pick Michigan. But if can accept that they are fairly meaningless and want to be someplace that is really dynamic in their programs and extremely hands on (look up the Burkenroad Reports just as an example), then pick Tulane.</p>
