Mid Sized Schools with lots of school spirit

Miami Ohio maybe? You’d be eligible for merit (though I know that’s not an issue - it IS nice) and you’d maybe get into the honors college. It’s not D1 but students love it and have a decent amount of spirit. Hockey games are particularly fun.

Miami Ohio is D1, participating in the MidAmerican Conference for most sports.

Sororities, sports, warm weather, students love their school:

Consider the University of Mississippi Honors College. Smallest school in terms of enrollment in the SEC–just under 17,000 full time undergraduate students.

With a 3.6 GPA & a 1450 plus SAT and a STEM major, your total COA will be close to $12,000 per year or less. This should make any graduate school much more affordable.

Vanderbilt University, University of Virginia & SMU also should be given consideration.

If willing to dip below 4,000 students, then Colgate University might be of interest to you.
