mid year report: how will it affect me?

From what we have seen here on CC in the past, it seems that most (all?) applicants who were not invited to interview for one of the two big scholarships (full and half) were asked to send a mid year report.

The requests will come out some time in February- just send in the grades as soon as they are available. Send either a copy of your report card or a transcript.

No one knows for sure how much those grades will affect you. Some here on CC reported that their grades went down but they were still accepted. This questions comes up often here so use the search function if you want to find previous discussions about mid-year grades.
Here’s one:

Your question is also asked on the FAQ page of USC Admissions but the the answer doesn’t really give us an exact answer:

That all being said, imho, you will be FINE with one B.
