@LYLMom Pomona and many other schools have a domestic exchange program. My D is a rising junior at Pomona and is spending fall semester at Swarthmore through a domestic exchange program. She had a Swarthmore kid in one of her econ classes last year – he stayed at Pomona for the whole year. She’s not interested in a semester abroad, partly because she keeps changing her mind about double majors and minors and has too many classes she wants to take in her remaining 2 years. Doing a domestic exchange allows her to take classes that help her progress toward completing her major and minor goals. But Dean Sambolin told her that you can do BOTH domestic exchange and semester abroad if you want to and plan out your classes.
@Corinthian I am pretty sure that my D is going to want to do a semester abroad, but good to know that they can both! Thanks for the information.
