Could you please clarify a query on the MIT Secondary School report ( & in the Common Apps secondary school report ):- What is sought in this report? Scores of the 11th grade or 10th?</p>

<p>Let me explain that a little more with respect to schools in India. Here Schools have a ‘Board’ exam ( Nation wide exam conducted by various ‘Boards’ like : 'Central Board of Secondary Education - or CBSE) at the end of the 10th year ( ‘Secondary School’) and another Board at the end of the 12th year ( ‘Senior School’). There is only a localized school exam in 11th grade and everyone - including the school officials, apart from the kids take this year easy. Its not a national exam and makes no sense for an evaluation purpose.</p>

<p>So - to get back to the question - Scores of which year is sought in those forms - 10th or 11th?

The secondary school report requests grades from all years, even though they’re not nationally standardized.</p>
