MIT Final Advice/Comments Before Early Action

Why Berkelely if you don’t want to stay in CA? You sound like you might be near Harvey Mudd, why not CalTech?

@superbowser12 I plan to play baseball and do a ton of math, just as I’ve been doing. It’s what I like

@WesternDigital 800 Math 2, retook physics last weekend

@bordertexan Berkeley is probably the strongest math department in the country for what I want to research, so why not. & as for caltech, I’ve just never really had an interest. Nothing personal, just not my cup of tea.

“Nothing personal, just not my cup of tea.”

Good of you to know this. You seem an excellent candidate indeed for MIT. Overthinking the problem, as you stated in an explanation above, is something that confounds when you are redirected to the simplicity of the matter at hand, and yet, when you are used to complex p-sets, this is what you do. You sound like you weathered that little bump in the road with no real lingering concern, though, and that is resilience at work.

Wish you all the best.

Great math 2 score! You still have to retake a subject test as a recruited athlete?

@WesternDigital Well, I figure it can’t hurt…it’s only an hour of time anyways haha
