MITES 2010 Information & Discussion

Lol. seriously? another texan. There are a lot of Texans here.

haha… oook.

lol, no of course not. I wouldn’t be able to apply if I lived in Nepal. I’ve been in the US for umm half of my life kinda.

oooo really? aerospace. haha i haven’t met another person that was interested in it at least not someone my age. lol

orlly? Texans? hunh… i hate texas.

ya lol thats what i realized after i asked my ■■■■■■■■ question :slight_smile:
do you speak… any of the many languages spoken in south asia?

really? i thought that would be popular… hunh. I like planes a LOT. and space a LOT. but tbh im starting to lean towards astrophysics…

I’m from Texas too lol.

and still no letter :/

you do?
I like Texas, well at least Austin. =p

Uh yep. I speak nepali, hindi, a bit of urdu, and i can understand a bit of punjabi.
that’s pretty much it

me too! it’s just fascinating. =D

another texan lol wow. lots of texans!

ur in texas too aero? or did you just visit austin?

its too far south and i hate the weather.

u ever looked up on a cloudless night and felt so tiny? but at the same time you just HAD to know what was out there? :)

Uh, no I don’t live in Texas. I used to, in Austin.

ohhh. haha in texas i was surprised that they had like…hail/sleet insurance or something like that.

Yes!! I feel like…we are just a tiny speck on this huge canvas, which we are, but it’s like…what else is there, how do things happen, etc.

I didn’t like the fact that Obama kinda cancelled the nasa constellation program. I mean it had been going on for like 6 years.

what state now?

ha we got record snow this year. 7ft snowmen are so win.

thats the key question. HOW? and afterward, WHY? are you christian? if you dont mind answering that is

hmm what was that? (out of the loop)

lol i love how theres like 3 different discussions going on at once.

haha
see this is exactly why I didn’t get a college confidential account before lol.
it gets distracting =p

VA and we got record snow too… 2 blizzards in one week. 3 blizzards in a season.

no i’m not. i’m not very religious. i am… ummm buddhist/hindu lol

lol it was nasa’s plan to umm build a capsule again that would cost less than the shuttle and to get man back on the moon by 2020 or something like that and use rockets to get people into space like they did back in the old days lol

ya i have done like NO hw…

see… record snow for tx is like… 8 inches lol

i forgot where i was going with that… something to do with “why” idk…

ha. Come on Obama… dont ruin stuff.

haha
i’ve been doing math h/w for the past hour lol… “doing”

haha yeah it never snowed when I lived there

wouldn’t the why stuff be considered metaphysics? =p

lol Obama…we need the space program. =D

im supposed to be reading for IBUSH… its not going well lol

it was awesome this year. completely epic. even got a snow day ^_^

whats metaphysics without physics? and vice-versa? :)

lOlbama

Haha. Yeah, history… Are you getting an IB diploma (I think that’s what it’s called)?

haha, we got a whole week off of school which I spent shoveling.

hmmmmmmmmm I guess so. I love asking the why’s then it gets like…omg… i’m a little speck of dust on this uhhh universe… oh no… what’s out there, where does it end. lol

yea i am ^^ how exciting right…? -- are you in IB?

LUCKY lol. never gotten more than a day off for snow before :[

i like asking why until the teachers cant answer me anymore :slight_smile: but it really is kind of deep when you get down to it. Intelligent design becomes almost necessary

Haha, I sense sarcasm.
No, I’m not. my school doesn’t offer IB, but I’m in AP.
I just know because one of my friend’s school has IB and he’s getting an IB diploma.

hahaha. well it did snow about 3 feet then another 12 inches in one week. =p

yeah it is deeeeep. my teachers are like, if you want to talk about that stuff, go study on your own, we are not going to talk about it.
and yeah…I guess it is almost necessary.

I’m from Northwest Austin!

And we had a snow day today =D

We got out at 11:45, and have a delayed start tomorrow. For about 2-3 inches. I love the south’s intolerance for snow.

@j
lmao i know its great xD, but plano doesnt shut down for ANYTHING usually… it blows

@aero
ALMOST necessary lol. i am christian but skeptical lol.

@jbrown

seriously?? snow in Austin. hehe that’s a first for me.
I lived there for like 3.5 years and never saw snow.

Lucky! =D
Haha yeah we used to close over 3 inches here in VA, but now we are laughing at the south for closing over 3 inches of snow =p

@xephyr
haha, yeah. I am pretty skeptical too…and my religion has like a million gods/godesses =p
I just want the scientific side to things, but how else do we explain all the…unknown stuff.

@aero

thats the God of the Gaps. there only until we dont need Him as an explanation anymore…
Hindu u said? my best friend is hindu lol. i Like that religion. Its interestinger than the others.

I know! I haven’t seen snow since 4th grade, just ice. It was quite exciting. My IB Physics teacher let us go outside whenever it was snowing a lot. We had a snowball fight =D

And I get to sleep in tomorrow morning, which is the best part.

@J ah youre in IB too?? awesome lol.
