I’m not much of an engineering person, so MITES was just an exploratory pursuit. I tend toward the health/biology field. Overall, I’m happy because of the alternatives that are available (HSHSP ftw). Hopefully this is helpful to next years’ applicants!

Hurrah! I was rejected! lol. I didn’t expect to get in anyway cuz I’m asian, but it was worth a shot :p. I really enjoyed the last couple of months, getting to know applicants like me and frantically working on applications and nervously waiting for the decisions. I also learned a lot through this thread (for example how to make the face) It kind of gave me a feel for what college applications will feel like, and maybe I won’t be stressed when I do my college apps.

For those of you accepted, I congratulate you. You will have an amazing summer at MIT.

For those of you rejected like me, don’t worry, there is still a chance to get into MIT when we all apply for it at the end of this year.

For those of you who are still waiting, don’t give up hope yet. There is still a chance for you to be accepted into MITES.

Although I won’t be able to go to MITES this summer, I will be at a UCSD internship related to mathematics. I can’t say that that is better than going to MITES, but it’s better than a lot of other options.

If you want to add me on facebook, message me your link on CC and I will add you as soon as possible.

Have a wonderful rest of the year and an amazing summer guys! I hope to see you all at MIT in fall of 2012!!! :D
