MITES 2013 Discussion

Mites
Gov School
AP EA
ESP at Wisconsin Mad

@Nashia1505, I did questbridge too… The only thing I would attend/consider is M&TSI and Wharton LBW

@run1116, Leggo SSP here too!

@lldm21, let’s pray for that

@cmarquez42, which programs from Questbridge?

@Ozzyarmas, which ^ same question

@dokingsler, I see

@Cmarquez Look at you trying to steal my life! lol I really doubt that I’ll get into Questbridge though. I found out about it last minute. Like 3 days before it was due.

@Dok If we don’t get into MITES, I might see you at UW ESP?

@Alpha I really don’t remember which ones I chose. I’m pretty sure it was business, entrepreneurship, or technology related. For some reason I think it was UPenn.

Idk bout you guys but im worried more about mites than about school or ap exams

I went back on the page. I applied for all the UPenn courses, Harvard, Stanford, and Yale.

@Dok I feel the same way. Starting today, I just got this really sad feeling. I’ve been feeling pretty frustrated all day. I think I felt them reject me. lol Maybe I’m just crazy. Who knows?

I got rejected!!! I can predict the future~

Tbh, I just want MOSTEC or E2…

There are far more unprivileged kids out there than me who live in like the middle of nowhere

There a big chance i got rejected, so im with you. But hopefully ill get into one program i applied for haha

Nashia I had 10 days lol I got the email saying it was my last chance. I never got a first one.

Alpha for College Prep I did UPenn, Stanford, Yale, Harvard, and a couple other schools…

Which reminds me I never filled out the “Why do you want to do these programs” section…

Well. I don’t live in the middle of nowhere, but if anyone wants to give up their spot in MITES for a young inexperienced girl in engineering, this girl right here would love you forever and ever. Keep in mind, love and forever are very strong words. Choose wisely. lbvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvs

Does anyone feel like we have an awful lot in common, or is it just me?

How’s it going everyone? I’ve been a lurker for the past few weeks and as requested by Rivstein I am finally here to join in the discussion haha.

+1 for MITES applicants from NY (Male)
To be quite honest, this wait for the MITES decisions is making me very nervous but I’m trying to remain optimistic.

@Alpha2014 I also applied to Wharton LBW and I received my acceptance e-mail yesterday. It’s awesome to know that I have Wharton as my back-up. (I only applied to Wharton LBW and MITES) Did you get accepted as well?

Horayy for the Lurkers! Lurkers unite! Ahaha.

But everything else that I’ve applied for I’ve gotten accepted to. Of course they were nowhere near as prestigious and selective as MITES, but they’ll be a good fall back if I don’t get accepted. (Which I’m really scared aboutttt)

@Naisha no it’s not just you, it’s me too. Me too.

@MerelyDetermined, I applied through Questbridge o.O

Is there no one in like Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Arizona, Colorado, and etc.
For MITES applicants in this thread? I haven’t heard much about midwest states for this program. I’m from the East coast though

From Illinois

Who qualifies for Fed. reduced lunch here?

@Alpha2014: Nice, I applied straight through their website. Which campus did you get accepted to?

@Alpha I do! And I included that on my application. But then, both of my parents have Masters degrees, which I feel like cancels that out… My older sister applied for Questbridge (and she really needed the scholarship money) but my dad feels like she was denied because he is a doctor… which I hope won’t disqualify me for MITES. It really is nerve-wracking, waiting for this decision

@MerelyDetermined, not yet… I don’t hear back until end of April bro
@WafflesAnyone, Wow masters degree, my parents only went to high school

@Alpha2014: Ahh, I see…Sorry about that, and I wish you the best of luck :)
