<p>You won’t get sunburnt at Georgia Tech more than anywhere else.</p>
<p>We don’t have 6 months of snow, for sure. Spring is nicest. Summer can get pretty sticky, but you can get by at GT and Atlanta just fine.</p>
<p>With that, GT is my safety. I can get 90% of tuition paid and if I bump up my GPA, i can get a full ride in state. They do this stupid thing though–they compare you against your school, not the other applicants. So if you go a top magnet school, etc you better be in the top 20%</p>
<p>Does anyone else find it odd that MITES is making admissions decisions on a Monday? (April 15th) Why not April 12th?</p>
<p>@MerelyDetermined No. I’m kind of glad. Maybe they’ll think about their decisions more over the weekend. Idk They can do whatever they please, as long as I get in. haha! </p>

<p>Safety schools: UT Austin (auto-admit), Michigan State. That’s if I get rejected from EVERYTHING ELSE.</p>
<p>Also, although I love snow and chilly temperatures, my nose starts dripping around 55 degrees Fahrenheit. I hate anything above 95 or so.</p>

<p>Just a general question for anyone: Are MIT and Georgia Tech’s aerospace engineering departments comparable aside from rankings? I haven’t been able to visit MIT’s yet.</p>

<p>@2Roads I’ve only seen their ranking, however you can look up their class curriculum and that sort of thing to find more info on them. MIT’s seems really awesome but I haven’t been able to check out GT’s. If their curriculum doesn’t follow any state university standards (meaning it’s their own originally designed course/curriculum), then it should be great.</p>
