Dammit people, stop being from Florida!

False, I believe only about 27 or so states were represented last year (don’t trust my numbers exactly.) In any case, all 50 were not represented. No matter how rural you are, nothing is a guarantee.

Even though Texas has a lot of applicant it is also one of the most represented states. Last year there was 8 people from Texas. I personally think it is now about the applicants themselves rather than the geography.

@Leviticus Exactly! Only my immediate family lives here. The rest live in Mexico. I miss the rest of my family terribly, but it has become so dangerous to visit the area that my family resides in.

Two applicants with identical stats and similar essays… One from New York and one from Montana… Guess which one gets in (if not both)?

This thread is going to light up when decisions come out. Billions of lurkers and millions of micromanaging parents will emerge from the shadows.

MITES Applicants 2013: 1.4 Billion
Accepted Applicants: 80
Acceptance Rate: 5.714 x 10^(-6) % or .000005714 %

1/5 of the world’s population apply…

Only 80 spots…

Coming this Summer to theaters near you…

if I don’t get accepted I’m just going to go cry in a corner and never look at this thread again

Same here…

I feel that I deserve to get accepted for some reason. The people on CC are probably the most ambitious people in the universe. They should acknowledge that.

@Nashia yeah, same here. Actually, the rest of my family that lives here goes much more often. The last time I went was last August. My aunts and uncles go a few times a month.

@Rivstein 1.4 billion sounds about right!

Whatever college I get accepted to, I will start a comedy club.

I’ve always wanted to do that… just sit down and watch stand-up. Then we try to build on their jokes or make our own.

@whoever asked. Of course I watch Doctor Who!! I’ve only started recently but hot diggity it’s amazing. I cried at the end of Angels in Manhattan.

Question: Do you think all Asians are viewed the same way in context of affirmative action? Like I’m Asian but I’m not Korean Japanese or Chinese, but rather a relatively underrepresented type of Asian.
Affirmative action really irks me. I’m so much poorer than a lot of my black or hispanic friends but I have to try harder than them? Fuuuuu

@MS it was me who asked. I love you just for that lol. The episode that killed me was the season 2 finale.

I am a try hard, dedicated student. They should accept me lol.

I’m not try hard. I feel that I have a lot of room for improvement, but I always sell myself short.

No matter how well I do, I always feel that there is room for improvement. I just bring so much unnecessary stress upon myself.

I have to improve in that area too though… lbs

@ Ozzy. I wish I started watching it earlier. Everything about it is so kickass.

I’ve been called a try hard. I don’t use all of my time optimally though, but then again, who does? Like today I spent thirty minutes watching my friends try to squeeze themselves into our school lockers. I’d go insane if I were doing something productive with every second of my time.
