I asked them if MOSTEC was even going to take place and I got back an automated response that did not answer my question a few days ago.
"At this time, we do not have a specific date when decisions for the 2020 MOSTEC program will be released. Unfortunately, the MIT and OEOP planning process for Summer 2020 is not yet finalized, resulting in a further delay to announce decisions. We appreciate your patience, and apologize for the uncertainty caused by this additional delay. We hope to be in touch with you soon.
OEOP NATIONAL SUMMER PROGRAMS – MITES and MOSTEC are national programs for rising high school seniors with demonstrated passion in the STEM fields. Students must currently be in the 11th grade and either U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents in order to apply. Both MITES and MOSTEC are free of charge, and accepted students only need to pay for transportation to and from MIT’s campus. You can visit our website at http://oeop.mit.edu/programs to find out more about our individual programs and the eligibility requirements. Details of the application process for this summer are available under “Application Checklist” and “Frequently Asked Questions” webpages on the summerapp.mit.edu site.
ADDITIONAL STEM OPPORTUNITIES – If you are not eligible to apply to our MITES and MOSTEC programs, you can find a list of other STEM summer opportunities via the Resources page of our website (https://oeop.mit.edu/resources). Summer opportunities happening specifically at MIT can be found at the MIT Outreach Directory (https://outreach.mit.edu).
