Not a metaphor, but when people say irregardless it kind of drives me crazy

A while ago DD was trying to come up with a phrase and ended up with “the icing on the camel’s back”.

Still a valid word that basically means the same thing but maybe a stronger inference and I’ve seen it used in legal communication before.

It used to grate on my when mom said ironical instead of just ironic.

Others get to me but that was one I found particularly annoying. When the press abc people in positions of power misuse perfectly good words it also grates.
