No, there should be a sign on reentry into the country for interviews for global entry.
When we went through Miami, there were different lines, one for global entry, one for those who need the interview, and a regular one. There might have been more and they probably had lines for US nationals and not but you get my point.
The interview line was next to the global entry one and that i remember seeing
The last time we came home from an international trip to Denver (night), few people in either line. Global Entry would not have been advantage. Afterward we all waited a long time for luggage
You can download the app ahead of time. You can also start answering the questions ahead of time. But you need to be at the airport where the immigration and customs check will be when you submit your stuff on the app.
We downloaded the app in Paris and scanned our passports. The moment the plane landed in Boston I took my phone off airplane mode and answered the immigration questions, then took headshots of both my wife and I. Once you submit those your pretty much all set. We followed the signs to Mobile Passport Control and breezed right through.
Yes, but not too soon. You can upload your passport page and follow the prompts. However, don’t activate it until your plane lands - the information you’ve uploaded will disappear after 4 hours, and there’s actually a timer.
Just arrived home from our London trip. At Denver airport, there is A LOT of walking to get to passport control. But even without Global Entry (or MPC), it was very quick getting passport checked… at least 8 booths, less than a minute in line. Also glad to report that the luggage came quickly this time.
We used MPC app this past spring at LAX. Worked great. I will get Global Entry at some point but we usually only travel outside the US every few years. This year we will have two trips but that’s unusual. Plus if I fly internationally I prefer business class if I can swing it. At least in LAX getting off the plane first greatly speeds up customs.
