Hmm, D just started looking at Bing OOS. I remember it was very tough to get in years ago when I applied (IS), but based on D’s school naviance, they took pretty much everyone. Do they have an OOS preference or did admissions get easier in the past 25 years?

I also hope everyone had a easy fast and will have a gold year.

Things have gotten much, much harder for in-state kids, and the admissions people aren’t even shy about admitting it. Out of state, your daughter may be in great shape. There is a very strong preference.

Binghamton certainly doesn’t take everyone, but if your SATs are over 1800 and your weighted GPA over 90 your chances are excellent and if your GPA is over 95 I don’t see any rejections at all with that SAT score.

binghamton’s acceptance rate for the fall of 2009 was around 30%. (i’ve seen it cited as ranging from 30-33% in various sources).

of course I meant “good” year. I just can’t type.

I did not mean to imply thay Bing took everyone. I meant that based on the limited data points on D’s naviance, Binghamton took everyone who applied from the school.
