While it is not a requirement on this site to provide a source when making a statement, it is, in my personal opinion, a “best practice” when making one when is not one’s own opinion. Know that when an unsourced claim is made, one should reasonably expect that another user may ask the source. In which case, here are examples of appropriate responses:
• Here is the link
• I read it in the NYT
• I don’t remember
Here are examples of inappropriate responses:
• You’ve got Google
• Let me say it slowly
• I see I have to mansplain it
• How dare you challenge me
Additionally, this is not the place to question other user’s credentials.
