Mom’s seven SAT ‘test’ run ... the impossible dream

*Sorry for the typos, I am writing on my phone

I think Debbie Stier’s test taking probably started out with curiosity about the varying efficacy of different test prep courses and ended up with a methodical plan to pull off a stunt that would land her a book deal and speaking engagements. She can now bill herself as an expert on how to do well on the SAT, so now anxious parents and kids will pay money to obtain her pearls of wisdom. She’s giving a talk at my school. I’m not going.

I’m glad you had fun and hope you’ll ignore the more aggressive posts on the thread. I for one can certainly see why someone might think it was a fun project, to test the test (and test prep materials).

makes me want to try a test and see how I’d do.

This should be graven somewhere.

This sounds to me like yet another copy of the Julie/Julia stunt. An unfortunate genre.

I wonder if the book was ever published?
