<p>Whoever DID vote for this did it a very long time ago…as I noted above, 30+ years ago, the SS benefits for kids of retirees used to extend through college.
Now, they seem to end at age 18.</p>

<p>I also have worked in non-profit healthcare for last 33 years and will not be able to retire for another 7-12 more years.</p>

<p>It may not hurt to ban file and suspend. If the retiree doesn’t need the benefit, s/he sould not be allowed to collect for their dependents. Are there cases the ban would be unfair?</p>
