More bedbugs

Audiophile–find a non-partisan site. yours is solid agenda (it “debunks” global warming, too.)

The wild-eyed crazies at the National Fish and Wildlife Service beg to differ.

Your junk science site seems to be big on correlation as causation, by the way.

I’m not a big fan of chemicals but I would put something like this in my bag if I was traveling around Europe as a student…(check out the posted review - interesting).

After looking at that site, TR, I googled the stuff and found a really good overview of the different products, plus a lot of other tips on bedbug control.

My D has had a few friends get hit, and is in permanent defense mode, after seeing what happened to them. So we’re all becoming experts in our family.

Here’s another site with good info: [Bed Bugs — Entomology — Penn State University](http://ento.psu.edu/extension/factsheets/bedbugs)

This really grosses me out! I told my husband that he had best have his office building checked out (in NYC) or else I’m going to make him throw his suits into a plastic bag before he walks in the door! Not only is his building for business offices but there are very, very expensive apartments on the upper floors (not really sure why they cost so much, definitely not worth it in my opinion but as soon as someone famous moves in the prices jump) so who knows where these people have traveled and what they’ve brought home with them.

I also told my daughter that there is no way her roommates or she can buy any fabric or cushion furniture second hand for their apartment.

Permanent defense mode is a good thing to be in. It’s not paranoia if there’s a rational reason for the fear. I spent two weeks with itchy welts and almost a month fretting about bringing them in the house. There should be more press coverage on this…but I think the hotel lobbyists are doing their work…

Actually, the NYTimes seems to have weekly articles on it–it’s that epidemic in NYC.

In July, DD went to South Bend, Indiana for a swim meet, the team stayed at a new style “budget” hotel - she came home covered in bedbug bites! I was so grossed out!. We travel a lot (DH for business, family for fun) and have NEVER experienced bites before.

I washed every textile in the house that wasn’t nailed down, and had the furniture and carpets cleaned immediately. Her bites took quite a while to heal, if I recall.

I still shiver at the thought of those creepy crawlies in my house!
