I wonder if Lou Holtz finished his bucket list? It was a fascinating one (to me).

The beautiful Jennifer Runyon, Chachi’s girlfriend when he played Charles on Charles in Charge.

I haven’t heard of her in a while - it turns out she had retired from acting. Died from cancer at 65. Horrible.

I saw the band Boston perform, 7 or 8 years ago I imagine, in Alpharetta Georgia. Brad Delp, the original singer, had passed and was replaced by a gentleman named Tommy DeCarlo.

Mr. DeCarlo just passed from brain cancer at 60.

I don’t believe Boston has toured since I saw them and the leader is 78 or so - and I’m guessing they are done.

While no one could replace Brad Delp ,Mr. DeCarlo subbed in admirably.

RIP to him - and thanks for helping to keep some great tunes alive.

Brad Delp died 19 years to the day before Tommy. May they both rest in peace.

While “Amanda” was the bigger hit, this, in my mind, is more iconic.

I don’t know about touring, but they have continued to perform; I saw them in 2016 when I was in college

ETA - it looks like they were still touring last summer, mostly seasonal vacation spots like Jones Beach and Virginia Beach.

I had to go back in my calendar to find it but I saw them in 2016 at the Boston Wang Theater… as a long-time fan it was a great concert and agree that DeCarlo did an admirable job as the front man.

I saw Boston way back in the 70s… and I agree about “More Than a Feeling” being more representative of the band.

That’s my favorite Boston tune also.

Another one that saw Boston in the 70’s. More Than a Feeling is a favorite of mine.

I was telling my H about DeCarlo’s death and my Gen Z kid said he never heard of the band Boston . “More than a feeling…” was all I needed to sing and he knew the song. Some songs are truly timeless.

I saw Boston in a stadium show. Have to say a lot of their songs sounded the same. Could have been the beer or the sound system. Probably a little of both.

More Than a Feeling was one of my favorite songs (in college … yeah, I’m old).

Very regional, but Ernie was a fixture at various NYC anchor desks for decades

IIRC, Ernie Anastos started in the Providence market before moving on to NYC.
