Yes, I did see them in Saratoga with Train. All in all, a great evening!

So back to topic, a friend from my hometown (where Vinnie is from) wrote a charming story/memory on his FB page about times they spent together. He sounded like a really nice guy. RIP Vinnie.

I saw them in Saratoga Springs in about 2014 – we were out there for some friends’ wedding. (well it was a touristy burg on Lake George – not sure what the name of that town is without checking a map). The night-before festivities included a Train show outdoors. It was great. Drops of Jupiter has remained one of my favorite songs from the 2000s.
ETA: I did check a map, and the concert was in the Springs but the wedding was in the town of Lake George, at the southern end of its namesake loch.

Following back to the Dukes of Hazzard star (and this is historical/informational, not political)
After playing Cooter for all seven seasons of the series from 1979 to 1985, Mr. Jones turned to politics and was elected to the U.S. House from a district near Atlanta in 1988. The Democrat served two terms before he was redistricted out of the seat…….
…..In his four years in Washington, Mr. Jones was known as a Democrat who could buck his party. He was liberal on social issues and conservative on economics…..
….But even in politics, he made a splash. After losing in 1992 in his redrawn district, Mr. Jones ran for Congress again in 1994. He lost to Newt Gingrich in the elections that elevated the Republican to the Speaker’s Office……
…..Mr. Jones would file an ethics complaint that Gingrich used tax-deductible donations to fund his partisan college course, leading to a House reprimand and Gingrich’s decision to leave the body.

This is just so sad. She had so much talent, but she really struggled. She gave up custody of her child, and she tried to focus on overcoming her addiction.

I loved her performance on Nashville, and loved the entire series. This is so sad. She was so young and so talented.
