<p>The candidate put forth for my Congressional seat, the MTA board member whose selection engendered outrage on the part of prospective constituents and whose son had decided to run against him dropped dead over the weekend. </p>

<p>Zoosermom, I don’t see why dropping dead is an issue. I am almost certain we elected a dead mayor in Florida a few years back. I cannot remember the man’s name - maybe someone else here from Florida recalls this - but anyway he won the election, even though he’d died months prior…</p>
