I would second that Berkeley isn’t nearly as conservative as many people think it is. The city is very liberal, a portion of the students are very very liberal, but many of Asian students and other students who apply purely for the academic pedigree are not liberal at all. I would say that UCSC is actually more liberal as a student body in my opinion.

I don’t think Columbia should be that high on the liberal list. A lot of people voted for Obama here and I’d say it’s fairly liberal, but one of the MOST liberal in the country? Over, as someone pointed out, historically black colleges? And Berkeley? I know Berkeley isn’t as liberal as people think it is but it’s certainly more liberal than Columbia.

Berkeley had a lot of Lyndon LaRouche and Ron Paul fans last time I went. Wouldn’t say it’s liberal at all.

I have always been under the impression UMich Ann Arbor was pretty liberal

chances are a top 20 schools is liberal then…lol thats great

That’s extreme of liberal, since Ron Paul is an internet meme

Doubt these numbers since Texas A&M isn’t on the most conservative list. It is without a doubt one of the most conservative colleges in the nation.

mark down Hillsdale for conservative

I feel there are some schools missing on the liberal list well… where are Swarthmore, Vassar, and Wesleyan, for starters?

I also feel, generally speaking, that this is a relatively poor way of quantifying “liberalness/conservativeness” of schools because it leaves out the opinions of all those students who didn’t vote. I know at my school (Vassar), for example, that there are definitely a percentage of students who aren’t registered to vote or who, for one reason or another, didn’t get around to voting this year, but who would define themselves as “liberal” to “very liberal.”

“That’s extreme of liberal, since Ron Paul is an internet meme”

Ron Paul is libertarian, the complete opposite of liberal.

this is just the princeton review list

My son will be attending Depaul University this fall. I just would like to hear what people think about its liberal/conservative leaning. Ive not seen any remarks regarding Depaul online.

thanks
