<p>DD dorm room cost $4125 per semester (4 months) at MIT without board. So I don’t think NYU is anywhere out of line.</p>
<p>I remember being at CMU where a dorm room was over $600 a month. I moved off campus to a nicer apartment and only a little further away (but on a bus line, so it took the same amount of time) and saved about $200 a month. It was certainly cheaper to move off campus as soon as possible there.</p>
<p>yea i use to go to suffolk and they raised their price on their tuition because of the new dorm they built at 10 west. It is also in a pretty crappy part of boston in between downtown crossing and chinatown.</p>
