<p>Journalists. Without any kind of media, how would you know what was going on?</p>
<p>There’s obviously no answer to this question-- society creates a need for the jobs required to hold it up. To some a burger flipper may be more important than a doctor (in which case a doctor will probably gain importance later on). There are no useless jobs, and while some may be more favorable or honorable than others in the eyes of the elite, none is more important than another.</p>
<p>… That being said, laws, paychecks and stigmas impede or accelerate the progression of some fields. Educators could use a boost.</p>

<p>Each person has his or her own place in society, and we each make our own contribution to society. I’m agreeing with the posters above, everyone of every profession is equally as important.</p>
