<p>anotherdad3, this might sound like a drastic solution or overkill to your situation, but it was our reality. Our S wound up transferring to a magnet school junior year where suddenly it was just fine to be bright b/c everyone else was. This year (senior year) he entered AMC12 competition, just qualified for AIME. Just an idea fwiw if there is a magnet school available.</p>
