<p>Retainers have greatly benefitted from the advancements in technology. They’re sturdy, easily cleaned and maintained. I don’t mind wearing it for the rest of my life. </p>
<p>When I had just got my braces off, I had a good sense of when my teeth moved and how much. I could tell when to put my retainer on. When my orthodontist said I could start wearing them only at night, I knew my teeth weren’t ready and that at most 8 or 10 hours they should be off.
