I know none of the ivys have that policy (Harvard, Penn, and Columbia even have a large amount of commuters starting freshman year as they are in the middle of cities,
but what schools aside from Duke have that kind of requirement? It just seems a little weird, given that a lot of people start college later in life and many of the internationals with big money who have lived on their own (and some americans) who could afford their own off campus place, want that, even for their first year,</p>
