I sent my son back from spring break with a handful of those black contractor garbage bags. Easiest way to pack bedding (three inch memory foam mattress pad and all the other layers). Hoping he understands that he is to pack all of this before I arrive to drive him home.
Good luck. Remember they will just have finished finals and may not have done any packing. Son’s school’s dorms had a policy of vacating the room by 24 hours after the student’s last final (one way to keep the noise down for those still studying). Bringing garbage bags is great- a lot easier to fit into spaces in a packed car. Be prepared to help with packing, plan on more time than you thought it would need, Depends on your child.
