<p>To clarify my situation…I was initially planning to apply for fall 2011. However, I decided to stay where I was and planned on applying for spring 2012. When the application became available last August, spring wasn’t even a choice. Summer and fall 2012 were the only options. At that point I decided on applying for a summer transfer because I wanted to know that I had a spot sooner rather than later. If I wasn’t going to be accepted I wanted to know so I could plan on transferring somewhere else. </p>
<p>I don’t know that I would try and change your application to summer instead of fall at this point. I believe the summer semester begins May 14. You said they won’t have all your materials until mid-May which could be after the summer semester begins and certainly would not give them ample time to make a decision. Also, who knows how filled up they are at the moment. It may be in your interest to call the admin office and get a feel for what they have to say. </p>
<p>One more thing, I think a lot depends on how many credits you have to transfer, your GPA, etc…If you’ve got a solid foundation it shouldn’t matter what semester you choose to transfer.</p>
