MT Acceptances by School for the Class of 2024

@sarahsmom02, @kdrazie, @onette - I tend to agree with sarasmom02 - I like hearing the news about where acceptances are coming in from. Perhaps to avoid confusion @onette could designate students with an extra identifier (number or letter) so that we could see which kids got multiple offers? Example: Onette, F, Tx, student #1. Just throwing out ideas!

Well it’s a slippery slope and a form of free advertising. Perhaps start a separate thread for national coaches to post their students results. In years past it was the student or parent posting a result not consultants. There are so many consultants nationally one can see their results on their Facebook/Instagram pages & websites. No need to use this forum for client mining. It’s a mixed messaging imho. First time I have seen what might be a 3rd party posting results off others children. But again I’m not certain of the intent. Just seemed sketchy or agenda driven.

I didn’t get the sense that she was an audition coach, more like a music teacher who was helping out two of her students.

@Kkrazie - I am a coach and a MT parent. I asked if people would like the information because I think it’s helpful to know who is getting offers where and how that might impact wait lists, etc. Plus, it is really informative to see how school decisions run. I can refrain but I asked first before posting. I actually have been on this board for awhile. My son is a Junior. I am not a national audition coach. I am a director who has worked with these particular kids for years. I primarily direct shows and teach/coach acting, but took this year off to help them through the process. These kids happen to be like family to me. And I have two more similar kids going through next year (both F).

@looney2020 - I only have two kids I went through auditions with this year - one M and one F. I asked and it was suggested I post like that. I can remove them, however, if it is not desired.

@onette - since you only have one M and one F, that makes things easy. It seems like you are posting info only to be helpful, which is always appreciated in my book! Thanks for taking the time to explain it.

@onette thanks for the clarification. Process is hard enough. It raised a red flag in my parental soul. Be awful if this forum became one big advertising campaign for MT consultants. Process is already so nuts. It’s been a safe space for wisdom and history that is cherished. Much appreciated.

@Kkrazie I understand. I have no desire to advertise and I will tell you that I volunteer the time I have spent with these kids this year. I care very much about them. The young lady I have been working with since she was 10 when she auditioned for a teen production of “Beauty and the Beast” and I told her she was too young…until she opened her mouth and sang. The young man since he was 14. Next year, I have kids coming through I have worked with since 8 and 10. I know a lot about directing and coaching but have learned a LOT about the college audition process right here. I have a day job that isn’t theatre but nights and weekends (usually) are shows and coaching. I care a lot about these kids and told them years ago that I would see them through to college. I am always happy to share what I know with others. I felt blessed at CAP Atlanta and Chicago Unifieds because at least a few times I was able to help a parent or kid who needed some information or help.

We are waiting for Ohio Northern, Syracuse, JMU and Coastal - then we are DONE! Well except for one audition at Kent State… has anyone heard from any of those decisions yet>

@DramaLove2020 One of my kids is also waiting for Ohio Northern. Had an early audition with them (November?) got accepted academically, Presidential merit and waiting…

Has there been any feedback on any female acceptances for CCM ( NY unifieds) I’ve only heard of rejections but no acceptances.

@mtdadyo yes there have been some female acceptances reported on the other thread. But hearing from more boys than girls so far.

My D was accepted to CCM MT four days ago. She’s in a FB group with accepted MT students and there are six accepted girls in the group so far.
