You can get most of this information from the Common Data Set for any school. Just google, “[school name] Common Data Set” and you should be able to find it. Look for Section H, which contains data for both need-based and non-need-based Fin Aid. Note that academic merit and talent awards are all lumped together as non-need-based aid.
You can also get this data from College Data dot com for all schools, packaged into a relatively easy-to-read tabbed format.
For example, Table H2A Number of Enrolled Students Awarded Non-need-based Scholarships and Grants contains lots of good information.

As you can see, Ball State is more generous with non-need-based scholarships and grants than NYU, especially on a percentage of tuition basis (this should hardly be a surprise to anyone).
