Congrats!!!

Congrats to all! Driving to BoCo with S this Saturday. Hopefully it clears up by then!

goinplacesmomsD~
The T is easy… if you navigate the MT admissions process you can certainly navigate the T!

The T is really easy…take the Blue Line T (there’s a free shuttle from Logan to the Blue Line) towards Bowdoin…get off at Government Center and switch to any of the Green Line trains except for E (B, C, or D are all okay) …get off at Hynes and you are just a few blocks from BoCo. It really is very easy, and very safe. Really.

Agree with monkey13 – we live outside of Boston and always drive to a convenient commuter rail/subway station and catch the T into the neighborhood where BoCo is located (lots of great theater nearby); in fact, I’ll be there with my S who’s auditioning on Saturday, too! Break legs to your S, songof6pence.

Thanks to all for the advice. It does seem like the T is the right choice… Good luck also to mamtma and songof6pence at boco! Maybe see you there - but my D is the 9:30 dance call - am audition… sounds like you guys are afternoon if you’re driving there in the morning. Good luck again!

S is actually auditioning on Sunday. Dance call in the AM and noon audition. We’re driving in on Saturday and staying over. So Break legs MaMTma and goinplacesmomsD ! I am worried about driving in and parking. We are staying in Natick. Could you recommend a commuter station for us? I’d PM you but I am still a NEWBIE!

^^the commuter rail runs very infrequently on Sundays and won’t be a good option. Driving from Natick is straight forward on the Mass Pike and traffic and parking on Sundays hopefully will be kind to you. Best of luck!

Thank you halflokum!

Good luck to everyone heading to Boston tomorrow. This storm sounds like a BEAST! A friend of mine who lives up that way says Logan cancelled their flights today…don’t know anything about tomorrow, but good luck and safe travels for anyone trying to get there. Seems like there’s a storm every season playing havoc with some schools audition!

Yup (on the weather) my daughter already missed her CCM audition due to the ice and is wait listed for Chicago unifieds for them. So I am adamant I have got to get her to Boston tonight for her am Saturday audition - but our plane out of DC doesn’t arrive there until 10:18 p.m. So they’re saying that the airport is supposedly going to be up and running at around noon today - so I’m hoping that we’ll be good for tonight - particularly because the snow is ending around noonish today as well. I’m actually freaking out. And more importantly - praying to the Gods that Chicago unifieds are clear to get there - because that would be a far more major disaster!! Yikes. If March doesn’t get here faster, I think i’m gonna kill myself. I think I’m really losing my mind. My daughter conversely seems to take all this in stride - I don’t know how they do that and constantly have to “go on with the show.” What talent these kids have and grit - on so many levels!

Yup, we got slammed here in Boston, but flights should be fairly normal by later this evening. Parking will be harder, b/c of the snow. But there is a secret parking garage near BoCo…I have never had problems getting a spot there (unless there’s a Red Sox game, which clearly, there is not). It is called Patriot Parking, and it is on 7 Haviland Street. [Patriot Parking - Boston](http://www.patparking.com/) Honestly, it is 30 second walk to BoCo from this garage, it is small and safe and easy to get to. You will NOT have problems with traffic this weekend. Don’t rely on the commuter rail over weekends, b/c there are so few trains running. But the subway (T) is very very easy. If you want to stay outside of Boston b/c you are afraid of Boston driving/traffic, stay in Newton, then you can take the Green line right into BoCo without ever changing subways. Very simple. Honest. let me know if you have questions.

Try this hotel: [url=http://www.ihg.com/hotelindigo/hotels/us/en/newton/bosnt/hoteldetail?cm_mmc=GoogleMaps-_-in-_-USEN-_-bosnt]Hotel Indigo Boston-Newton Riverside - Newton, Massachusetts/url. It is 0.2 miles from the Riverside (Green Line) T. Take that line directly into Hynes station, and you’re at BoCo.

Well Monkey13 - thanks so much for the help. I guess I would have tried that but I purposely booked a tiny little hotel about a block and half from boco so we could walk there Saturday morning if needed (arghh.) I have reviewed the maps - and am just praying that a cab driver could just get us to the intersection of mass ave and haviland street tonight, right across from Berkley school of music, then we can walk to the hotel. It looked like on the news, that the main streets are being plowed in town…? (I’d rather take a cab than the T, even though everyone says it’s easy.) Like you said - I shouldn’t be worried about traffic, especially at 10:30 tonight - so I’m hoping a cab driver can get us there…) Thoughts?

Boston drivers in the snow…no problem. S/he’ll be able to get you right to your hotel door. It’s only on street parking that’ll be hard with the snow. Getting around will be fine. Boston is a warren of one-way windy streets…they can get you anywhere. No worries!

Monkey13 thank you for the tip re: parking at 7 haviland! It was a godsend this morning!

Glad it helped, songof6pence! It is my secret parking garage.

I hope auditions went great at BOCO!! If you have a minute update the “audition day review” thread with details of the day.
