omg musical maranda it is me NATE from urinetown lol!!! hey girl!

ha ha
what a coincidence!
Hi!!! How did your Otterbien audition go???

Just so you all know, wrightstateboy and I were in Urinetown together, and he is EXTREMELY talented… I don’t know how or why none of his original schools didn’t accept him… That boy is super tripple-threat and has a great future ahead of him. Just proves that you can be pretty amazing and not get accepted into anywhere

There’s actually a girl who graduated from my high school a few years ago who wanted to major in Musical theater— she didn’t get accepted anywhere ( cept AMDA, but apparently they accept like 99% of people who audition there… and she wasn’t ready to go to big city yet) so she went to Wright State for voice and they accepted her in a heartbeat. She ended up transfering to Belmont for Commercial Voice and she’s thriving there!
She was recently offered professional singing jobs in Branson Missouri for the summer… wonderful, right? She’s so happy with what she’s doing now and is soo successful.

I didn’t get into otterbein lol but hey it’s all good that’s what this business is about rejection and you just gotta keep pushing forward!!!

aww
I’m sorry to hear that. What about Western Michigan?

Waitlist at U of A

ohhhh!!! Very Nice, Zoerphl! Where would yuou like to go?

I’m a little bit of a bigger fan of Boco, but we’ll see what happens. I’m about 95% sure I’m going to Boston!

Well congrats
thats wonderful that you have been accepted to such a wonderful program. It’s such a great school!

rejected from Webster, but it’s okay! I’m loving Shorter :-D

Still waiting to hear from Carnegie Mellon and Uarts… but I think I’m going to go to Shorter no matter what.

Musical_Maranda - sorry to hear about the rejection from Webster, but with your great outlook and positive attitude you are going to shine at Shorter and beyond!

:-D thank you showmom! Don’t be sorry— I decided earlier this week that I think I’m going to go to Shorter even if I do get another acceptance… it’s such a wonderful school with a wonderful program.

rejected: umich, cmu, ccm, fordham
waitlisted: boco, rutgers mason gross
accepted: elon bfa mt, marymount ba theatre performance, emerson ba acting
probably winding up at elon:]

that’s wonderful Bfa2010
congrats on all of your acceptances, you must be very talented :-D

bfa2010 Elon is an amazing school! I know a few friends who go there and they absolutely ADORE it! You will love it there if you go. Best of luck to you!

Elon is amazing- I’m sure you will love it!

Just got my Webster Rejection - 4/5. Ah well, not really sure it was ever the “right place for me” anyway.
Still have Montclair but lord only knows when that will come in with their crazy system!

Now it’s just between NYU (since I think I might have found a way to afford it) and Coastal Carolina (which I’m visiting April 19th). Studio assignments- please come soon! Meep! Congrats to all! Such fierceness!

Super best wishes, Alexa!!!

Thanks girl ;)

Webster rejection

Rejected: U of Minnesota, Marymount Manhattan, Fordham, NYU, Northwestern. Although, I got into the first three schools, just not their theatre programs. Phooey.

Looks like I’ll be going to Cornish in the fall. I do feel like a bit of a failure - five auditions, one acceptance - but I know I applied to some incredibly competitive schools. And I’m getting really, really excited about Cornish.

You are in no way a failure!!! With the number of kids who audition for the limited number of spots available, you are lucky if you even get waitlisted to one school. Congratulations on getting into a good program. Cornish will be a great choice for you! Good luck!
