I currently attend a community college, majoring in Liberal Arts. I’ve recently decided I want to transfer to a school and take up Music Business as my major. Ultimately, I would love to become the manager of a band/artist, go on tour, etc. However, the music business in general interests me. I do a lot of promotion for bands/artists (street teaming, etc).

I live in NJ - any suggestions on schools that have the major & could help get my foot in the door?

Thank you!:)

I also wanted to get into a music business/music industry major. But im still not sure which college. For now im getting my associates in communications from bmcc cuny in nyc. Then i will be going to the marines for 4 years to help pay for my bachelors. After (or during if i can find a hybrid online/campus program) i will be attending a college for music business.

a couple of questions…

1) what colleges do not require auditions ? (i cant sing or play an instrument)

2) Which of them are regionally accredited and not for profit?

3) do how strong are their connections/internships in nyc? i plan on moving back to ny after college and starting my career here so i need to make sure i can apply my degree & what i learned in the nyc area.
