<p>there are quite a few very good student bands…Rightly Guided Thieves is one of the best/most well known, and I think is mainly rock. My friend is in Low Rusted Pipes, which does rock but also more blue-grassy type stuff, and they’re really awesome as well. Both bands do a good number of shows, often at frat dance parties. Student musicians/singers also perform in Lone Pine Tavern all the time, I think pretty much every night, so you can chill their over milk shakes and listen to that also. And the College gets great bands to come to campus; this year Dashboard Confessionals had a concert for Dartmouth students, and bands like The Wrens and Mates of States also came, and Dartmouth students could see them for free. I can’t rememer all the music things that went on, maybe some other student can help me out.</p>
