<p>That is a rather stupid piece. The Taliban, as atrocious as they might have been, were not behind the 9/11 attacks. This guy was a spokesperson for a government which harbored Bin Laden, not a co-conspirator as some here seem to believe. Hashemi, as most sources point out, was a protege of one of the moderate members of the Iraqi government and has himself been offered a position in the new coalition government of Afghanistan. The Goebbels comparison is flawed. A better comparison would be if the Bulgarian government granted refuge to Adolph Hitler after WWII and deciding whether or not to admit the Bulgarian ambassador’s secretary.</p>
