i’m sorry!!! i didn’t realize your daughter went to CAP!! one unfortunate thing about the internet is that you can’t hear tone of voice, and it’s hard to keep straight where everyone’s kids are attending.

No problem. But, I should have realized it’s so hard to keep track of who goes where, and any “Cappie” could have read that and misinterpreted it. I figure I can poke fun at my own d’s school’s students, but I would never do that about another school’s students! You should see how I tease my OWN students in class… in 7th grade, it’s the only way to survive, lol!

Kids love that kind of teasing from teachers, imo. My sister has been a 3rd grade teacher for more than 20 years, and I am convinced that one of the reasons she is absolutely beloved in that school is not because she is super sweet to the kids, but because she “messes with them.” :)

Hey I just had an audition at the Boston Conservatory today and I loved the dance, but I was wondering if you remember the name of the song about the addiction by any chance? Thanks and best of luck to you!

Hi CaseyRose - Glad you had fun at your audition! You probably didn’t notice, but this thread is four years old - and people are probably not checking it very often. You might have more luck getting your question answered if you post it on the Boston Conservatory Forum - it is in the list of schools at the top of the main page for the Musical Theater Major.

CaseyRose, the song they used was “The Man with the Golden Arm” from The Man with the Golden Arm. you can download the song on itunes, and though it’s not available on Netflix, I’m sure you can find the movie on amazon or something like that if you want to see it.

I used anxiety issues, but then Michelle Chasse asked me to try it as a kind of crazy girl who had just run over her ex-boyfriend’s feet with a car. I loved everything about that dance audition!
