I would just like to urge your brother and your family to consider the pass rates for WCU before applying there. According to the California Board of Registered Nurses, the highest NCLEX pass rate for WCU was only a 82.8% and the lowest was a 72%.

I’m used to pass rates in NC so it might be a little different in CA, but 132k (according to the WCU nursing tuition page) in debt for an 72 -82.8% NCLEX pass rate PLUS a 50% job placement rate is an unsettling idea. It doesn’t seem like the best option towards pursuing a nursing degree. With that much debt, I’d want more comfort in knowing that I would be able to pass the exam and get a job to be able to pay that money back. As everyone else said, I hope your brother considers pursuing an ADN and then BSN, or some other, cheaper BSN options.
