<p>You don’t have to send your AP scores at all, and if you want to be placed in a higher level course, you have to have a 5 on the relevant AP test. But AP scores aren’t considered for admission. Colleges only want to know that you took the most challenging courses available to you, not that you took the AP test at the end of them.</p>
<p>My D took as many AP courses as she could her senior year, but only took the test for one of them (AP English Lit) because her teacher required it. She starts at Wellesley this fall.</p>
