My Chances at Regular Decision

Well I don’t think the admissions counselor contacting you means anything special.
UGA really goes out of their way to get new freshman! After being admitted they gave me a water bottle (upon visiting), a phone call, a t-shirt and a dog tag…and I haven’t even sent in my $200 attendance fee!

BUT I will say that I didn’t find your stats to be that bad. While the SAT was really low, UGA considers that to the the third most important aspect of one’s application. They go in this order:
GPA, Course Rigor, Test Scores, ECs

Your GPA is pretty standard, but your course rigor exceeds the usual student’s classes. You also have some good ECs.

I really hate standardized testing because I believe it’s one of the worst ways to judge a student’s aptitude!

They SHOULD notice that you have the ability to do well in their school, based on your courses and not your test scores! And if you got a 4+ on every exam, they’ll definitely see that you have the ability to do well.
