1081736- I was wondering about that 50% acceptance rate too! But I guess we have to remember that it is a big school, which is why more people get accepted- however many competitive students are applying

Hi, I have not taken SATS yet, but I am taking them in the spring (I am a junior)

My weighted GPA is a 3.925 (bad I know) - But trust me it is going up to at least a 4.1 by the end of this year and even higher by end of 1st semester senior year.

I am unsure of my unweighted GPA, because our school does not show that in our transcripts for some reason.

Does Mc.Gill look more at weighted or unweighted GPAs?

ALSO: My class rank is 35 of 604, so I am at the brim of top 5 percentile. I am expecting this rank to improve as my GPA improves.

I am taking many AP classes including:
AP chemistry and AP European history : sophomore year
+
AP biology and AP English Language and composition : Junior year

My school has a biotechnology program which requires students to take a minimum of 7 science classes to graduate with an advanced “biotech” diploma rather than the normal 4 for the advanced diploma.

For SATs, I will not stop until I get 2000+

Am I on the right track for Mc.Gill? Any advice?
