@Groundwork2022
I just asked my daughter regarding the number you were talking about. (I do see that “AP Number” on her score report).
She tells me that number is not just student specific, but also date specific. By that I mean she doesn’t think that was the same number on her 2019 score report (although to be honest, we didn’t download that score report cuz who would have ever thought scores could change?). Also, I don’t see anywhere in her CB AP score page where that AP Number is referenced.
BUT, I will be the first to admit that I’m no expert in this score report area.
In retrospect, here’s what I would do differently after suffering this fate 2 times. The problem is that you don’t find out you have a problem until it’s too late.
- when the scores come out, take a screen shot and download the score report
- call CB customer service at once, talk to a rep, have them enter in a case report the “good” scores as THEY see them. Send them the screen shot and score report to add to the case report.
- then if the scores do change, there’s a trail on their system and not just evidence only coming from you.
I never did step 2). CB probably assumes we are trying to game their system and trying to raise her score. I can understand that thinking, but it does nothing to help us. All the corroborating evidence I have from step 1) is useless in the CB’s eyes.
Appreciate your thoughts… I’ll definitely post an update once I hear anything.
